A Bright, Red Summer

Brought these tomatoes in today. My favorite is still the Momotaro, a pinkish Japanese with a subtle sweetness and acid taste. Black Krim, the Russian one, is also fantastic. It grew bigger than ever. Maybe it's all that chicken manure I added to the soil. I freeze enough tomatoes to last me until next summer. I simply put them into freezer bags and when they thaw the skin just slips off and they are ready to go into the pot for sauce.
They do need to be cooked down quite a bit, and I keep other ingredients to a minimum. Simple and delicious!
