Pan de Muerto for Day of the Dead (All Souls Day)

Day of the Dead, Dia del los Muertos is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and around the world in many cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to  remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it attains the quality of a National Holiday. The celebration takes place on November 1–2, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints Day, in German it is called Allerheiligen (November 1) and All Souls Day (November2)
One of the baking specialties on this day is Pan de Muerto. It is a rich egg bread similar to brioche and flavored with orange zest and orange flower water. I used the recipe from "The Art of MexicanCooking" by Diana Kennedy. The top of the bread represent scull and bones. I got a little carried away by adding a few extra bones :-)
